Nolimit City publishes the odds of its own top prize. No other studio whose games I have reviewed publishes that figure at all.
That sounds like praise and for most of this page it is. Then you reach its newest game, where two cheaper builds are in circulation and the studio names neither of them.
So disclosure here is a choice made title by title, not a policy. That is the most useful thing I can tell you about this studio, and it is why the page is built around three games rather than around a reputation.
Every figure below was read while writing those three reviews, from the studio’s own material. Where something is missing I say so rather than filling it from elsewhere.
What Nolimit City Publishes About Itself
The corporate page is thin, which is unusual for a studio this well known. It gives no founding year, no headcount and no size of catalog.
What it does give is the licensing detail and, in the middle of the page, a live set of numbers for one of its games.
| Figure | What the studio publishes | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Company and registration | Nolimit City Limited, Malta, registration C 54001 | Its own licensing notice |
| Malta licence | MGA/B2B/299/2015, issued 1 August 2018 | Its own licensing notice |
| Group | Part of Evolution, whose Malta company C 44213 holds MGA/CRP/187/2010 issued 8 April 2022 | Its own licensing notice |
| Registered address | Spinola Park, Level 1, Mikiel Ang. Borg Street, St. Julians, Malta | Its own licensing notice |
| Game data on the corporate page itself | A 96.05 percent return, a 21.90 percent hit frequency and a 30,000x ceiling for Six Feet Under | Its own about page |
| Founding year | Nothing | Nowhere |
| Employee count | Nothing | Nowhere |
| Size of the game catalog | Nothing | Nowhere |
The gaps in this table are corporate trivia. The gaps that cost you money sit on the game pages, and that is where this studio is unusual.
Printing a return, a hit frequency and a ceiling on the company page is not normal. It is the opposite of what I found on the Novomatic side, where the corporate pages are rich and the game pages do not exist.
The Studio Labels Its Cheaper Builds, Until It Does Not
Here are the three games I have reviewed, side by side, with what the studio published for each.
| Figure | Fire in the Hole xBomb | Duck Hunters | San Quentin Manhunt |
|---|---|---|---|
| Released | 2 March 2021 | 11 February 2025 | 21 April 2026 |
| Default return | 96.06 percent | 96.05 percent | 96.15 percent |
| Cheaper builds | DX1 at 94.11 and DX3 at 90.02, both labelled by the studio | None in circulation | 94.13 and 92.07 in circulation, named nowhere by the studio |
| Hit frequency | 25.98 percent | 17.07 percent | 20.92 percent |
| Free spins frequency | 1 in 200 spins | 1 in 203 spins | 1 in 281 spins |
| Maximum win | 60,000x the bet | 30,000x the bet | 46,532x the bet |
| Odds of that maximum win | 1 in 2,400,000 | 1 in 22,000,000 | About 1 in 15.9 million |
Six of the seven rows are filled on all three games, which no other studio reviewed here comes close to. The seventh row is where the story turns.
On Fire in the Hole the studio names its own reduced builds outright, DX1 and DX3, with their returns attached. That is the single most honest thing any studio does on this site.
Five years later, on San Quentin Manhunt, it publishes one number and calls it the default. Two cheaper builds are in circulation, confirmed by two independent databases, and the studio names neither. The full reading is in my San Quentin Manhunt review.
Calling something a default is an admission that other versions exist. Not naming them is a decision, and it is the one thing on this page worth holding against the studio.
What an Hour of Nolimit City Actually Costs
A return figure on its own tells you nothing. What empties an account is that figure multiplied by everything you push across the table in an hour.
Six hundred spins an hour at fifty cents is three hundred euros of turnover. Here is what each published build of the two multi version games costs over that hour.
| Build | Return | House edge | Cost of the hour |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fire in the Hole, default | 96.06 percent | 3.94 percent | 11.82 euros |
| Fire in the Hole, DX1 | 94.11 percent | 5.89 percent | 17.67 euros |
| Fire in the Hole, DX3 | 90.02 percent | 9.98 percent | 29.94 euros |
| San Quentin Manhunt, default | 96.15 percent | 3.85 percent | 11.55 euros |
| San Quentin Manhunt, second build | 94.13 percent | 5.87 percent | 17.61 euros |
| San Quentin Manhunt, third build | 92.07 percent | 7.93 percent | 23.79 euros |
Six hundred spins an hour at fifty cents a spin. On Fire in the Hole the worst build costs two and a half times the best one, and on San Quentin it costs more than twice.
Read the Fire in the Hole rows again. The labelled DX3 build costs nearly thirty euros an hour, which puts it among the most expensive builds of any slot I have reviewed, and the studio prints that figure itself rather than burying it.
That is the trade this studio offers. It will sell you an expensive version, and it will tell you the price first. Most of the catalog here does not do the second part.
The Top Prize, Turned Into Hours
A maximum win of 60,000x sells a game. The odds behind it tell you what the headline is worth, and this is the only studio here that prints them.
At six hundred spins an hour those odds turn into time, and the time is the part nobody advertises.
| Game | Ceiling | Published odds | Hours of play per expected hit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fire in the Hole xBomb | 60,000x | 1 in 2,400,000 | About 4,000 hours, or 167 days without stopping |
| San Quentin Manhunt | 46,532x | About 1 in 15.9 million | About 26,500 hours, or 1,104 days |
| Duck Hunters | 30,000x | 1 in 22,000,000 | About 36,667 hours, or 1,528 days |
Same studio, same volatility word on all three, and the top prize on Duck Hunters is over nine times rarer than on Fire in the Hole. The word tells you nothing. The odds tell you everything.
Duck Hunters also has the lowest ceiling of the three and the longest wait for it. If you are chasing a headline number, that row is the one to read twice.
How to Check Which Nolimit City Build You Are Playing
The check takes about a minute and matters more here than on a single build studio.
| Step | What you are doing |
|---|---|
| 1 | Open the game in demo mode, before any deposit decision |
| 2 | Open the information panel, usually behind an “i” button or the menu |
| 3 | Read the return to player and write the exact figure down |
| 4 | Compare it with the default figure in my review of that game |
| 5 | Repeat at a second casino, because a lobby serving DX3 will not say so anywhere else |
A lobby is free to license the cheaper build and is under no duty to advertise it. The information panel inside the game is the only place the actual figure appears.
If the panel is missing or blank, that is a verdict on the operator rather than on the studio. Nolimit City fills that panel. The lobby decides whether you can open it.
The longer version of this check sits on my page about how to find a slot’s RTP.
Nolimit City Next to a Studio That Publishes Nothing
The scale only means something with the other end of it in view.
Novomatic takes more than 3.6 billion euros a year and publishes its headcount to the hundred. For Book of Ra, a game that has been in bars across Europe for twenty years, it publishes no return, no hit frequency and no odds of anything. The 92.13 percent figure in my review came from databases, because the studio keeps no page for the game at all.
Nolimit City is a far smaller company and it fills six of the seven rows in the table above, on all three games. The full comparison sits on my Novomatic page.
There is a sharper comparison closer to home. Nolimit City sits inside the Evolution group, and so does NetEnt. On Starburst, NetEnt publishes a return and leaves the odds of the maximum win blank. Same owner, different standard, which is another sign that disclosure is a studio decision rather than a group policy.
Every studio reviewed here is ranked by exactly this on my game providers page.
Which Casinos Reviewed Here Carry Nolimit City
The studio is in most lobbies, so the logo narrows nothing by itself. What the table shows is the quality band you would be choosing from.

Scores are mine and they judge the operator, not the studio. The highest scoring casino on this site carries no Nolimit City at all, so the logo wall is not the filter you think it is.
A good studio inside a weak lobby is still a weak account. Pick on licence, bonus terms and withdrawal ceiling first, then check that the games you want are there.
How I Checked These Numbers
The licensing and company details come from Nolimit City’s own notice, read on 26 October 2026, along with the game figures it prints on that same page.
Everything in the three game table was read while writing those reviews, from the studio’s own material, and each review carries the date of its last check. The two unnamed San Quentin builds are the exception and they come from two independent databases, which is why the row says in circulation rather than published.
The hours per expected hit are the published odds divided by six hundred spins an hour. They are long run expectations and not a schedule.
The casino scores are mine, from the four criteria set out in my rating method. No studio and no operator has any say in them.

Where to Play Nolimit City Games for Real Money
The studio arrives the same in every lobby. The operator decides which build it licenses, your bonus terms and how quickly the money comes back out, so that is the choice worth your time.
FAQ About Nolimit City Casinos
What is Nolimit City?
It is a slot studio registered in Malta as Nolimit City Limited and known for extremely volatile games with heavy bonus features. Among the studios behind the games I have reviewed it is the one that publishes the most about how its own mathematics works.
Who owns Nolimit City?
Its own licensing notice puts it inside the Evolution group, alongside NetEnt. That matters less than you would expect, because the two studios publish very different amounts about their games, so the standard is set title by title rather than by the owner.
Does Nolimit City publish its RTP?
Yes, and on Fire in the Hole xBomb it goes further and labels its two cheaper builds, DX1 at 94.11 percent and DX3 at 90.02. On San Quentin Manhunt it publishes only the 96.15 percent default while two lower builds circulate unnamed, so the answer is yes with one important exception.
What is the RTP of Fire in the Hole xBomb?
The default build returns 96.06 percent, and the studio also publishes DX1 at 94.11 and DX3 at 90.02. At fifty cents a spin and six hundred spins those three cost 11.82, 17.67 and 29.94 euros an hour, so the version your lobby serves decides most of your bill.
Why do some Nolimit City games have more than one RTP?
Studios build several versions of the same game and the operator chooses which one to license, with the cheaper build paying the operator more. What separates this studio from most is that it names those versions instead of leaving you to find them.
Which Nolimit City game gives the best chance at the maximum win?
Of the three I have reviewed, Fire in the Hole xBomb at 1 in 2,400,000, which is about four thousand hours of play per expected hit. San Quentin Manhunt is roughly 1 in 15.9 million and Duck Hunters is 1 in 22 million, so the gap between them is enormous.
Are Nolimit City slots high volatility?
All three I have reviewed are classed extreme by the studio itself. Treat that word as a warning about session length rather than a promise, because the hit frequencies behind it range from 17.07 to 25.98 percent and those two feel nothing alike.
Is Nolimit City licensed?
Its own notice gives a Malta Gaming Authority licence numbered MGA/B2B/299/2015, issued on 1 August 2018, for Nolimit City Limited, registration C 54001. The same notice covers the Evolution group company under MGA/CRP/187/2010.
Which casinos have Nolimit City games?
Most of the casinos I have reviewed carry the studio, and the table higher up this page names each one with the score I gave it. The band runs from 7 out of 10 down to 4, so the presence of the logo tells you almost nothing about the account behind it.
Can I play Nolimit City slots for free?
Yes, and the free round has a job here beyond entertainment. It is where you open the information panel and find out whether the lobby has licensed the default build or one of the cheaper ones, before any money is involved.
Who Wrote This

This page was harder to write than the others, because the studio deserves most of the credit it gets and the easy version would have stopped there. The San Quentin row is the reason it does not.
I am responsible for everything published here. The licensing details were read from the studio’s own notice on 26 October 2026 and the game figures while writing each review, which carries the date of its last check. If one stops holding, write to me and I will correct it and date the change.
18+. Gambling can be addictive. Nothing on this page makes a Nolimit City slot a good bet. The best build in the tables above still keeps nearly four euros of every hundred you stake, the worst keeps almost ten, and the top prize on one of these games is an expected once in roughly fifteen hundred days of nonstop play. What the studio gives you is the price in advance, which is worth having and is not the same as an edge. Decide the stake and the number of spins before you open the lobby, and treat a withdrawal as the end of the session rather than an interruption of it. If gambling has stopped being entertainment, free and confidential help is available in Slovenia through NIJZ.
