The License, and the Date in the Register
Most casinos I review bury this information or leave it out. 1Bet does the opposite, and it deserves the credit before I get to the problem.
The footer names the operator in full. Next Global Era Limited, a Belize company with registration number 000030447, registered at 9 Barrack Road, Belize City. It names the law behind the license, the Computer Gaming Licensing Act 007 of 2005, and it prints the license number: ALSI-102310002-FI5.
So I searched that number in the Anjouan public register myself. The entry is real. License ALSI-102310002-FI5, held by Next Global Era Limited, type b2c, issued on 5 October 2023 and covering 27 domains. 1bet.com is one of them.
The same entry carries an expiry date of 4 October 2026. I read it on 11 October 2026, seven days after that date, and the status column beside it still said valid.
I will not tell you the license is dead, because the regulator’s own register still calls it valid. I cannot tell you it was renewed either, because no later date appears anywhere in the entry. A renewal that has not reached the register looks exactly like a lapse that nobody recorded. You are being asked to trust a date that contradicts the word printed next to it.
A second company handles part of the money. Next Global Era Cyprus Limited, registration number HE 453397, at Avlonos 1, Maria House, Nicosia, processes everything that runs through Paysafe.
What an Anjouan license does not give you is a regulator you can write to when something goes wrong. The terms send disputes to arbitration without naming a body, and a complaint about a settled bet must be lodged within three days. For a player in Slovenia, that is a long way from the recourse an EU license would offer.

Getting Paid

My Verdict
1Bet gives you the largest game library and the clearest company disclosure on this site. Then it attaches a rollover to your own deposit and a fee to your second withdrawal.
If you deposit once, play through it and withdraw once, the lobby is genuinely excellent. If you treat the account the way you treat a bank, leaving costs you money every time. That is a design decision, not an accident, and it is why this lands at 5 rather than 7.
